Ephemeral

Focus: Weaving, Pattern Design

Inspired by the work of Op artists Victor Vasarely and Bridget Riley, and Josef Albers’ study of color, this woven piece uses the monk’s belt weaving technique on a four harness loom to create an optical illusion.

Mood Board

Op Art uses simple geometry to manipulate the viewer’s perception of the piece of art on display.  Stimulating our visual senses, it creates a false sense of movement, making a statement in any space it occupies.
