With rapid technological advancements that have taken place in the last few decades, we are able to connect with information and people globally through a rectanglar screen. The onset of Covid has caused a rapid increase in the amount of time we spend on these smart devices. Athough it is a medium through which we are able to stay connected, it has unfortunately, disrupted our abilty to connect with not only other people, but also ourselves.

Topo is a collection of handwoven and handknotted rugs revealing the use of texture to create a tactile experience. By using the grid system, varying pile heights and weave structures, this collection fuses the classical with the contemporary, and the industrial with the handmade. This creates a heightened sensory experience, stimulating our minds to reconnect with others, ourselves, and the spaces we occupy.
