Connection is vital. It is an evolved human need. We are always trying to form relationships and associations between things whether it’s with ourselves, other people, the objects we use on a daily basis, or our environment. This cognitive process is entirely natural in the same way as breathing that it’s embedded in our unconscious and we are often unaware of its presence. Using the ephemeral qualities of reflective materials, the deceptive nature of material transparency, and mutual visuals from the natural world and the human body, this collection fabricates a moment of awareness in the viewer of our intrinsic ability to perceive our environment in unique ways and compose these relationships.
